Once the procedure is over, it is necessary to :
- Disinfect the affected area with an antiseptic solution.
- Apply a healing ointment or cream and a bandage or cellophane to protect the epidermis and promote healing.
The skin must remain clean at all times and oily during the healing phase, which lasts about fifteen days.
One must remain vigilant by not allowing any infectious agent to be in contact with the wound. Cleaning should be done with warm water and mild soap or an alcohol-free antiseptic solution.
Bathing, swimming or going to the sea should be avoided for 2 to 3 weeks, unless you are using Secuderm, which will ensure a perfect seal of the pierced area.
